An original item of crew apparel given out during the production of The Lord of the Rings (New Line Cinema, 2001, 2002, 2003). The black hat has an “Eye of Sauron” logo embroidered in orange on the front. The “Eye of Sauron” logo was designed by John Howe, specifically for Weta’s crew clothing to be worn during the filming of the trilogy so that cast and crew knew who to look for when in need of a Weta technician. “WETA” is embroidered in white onto the back of the hat just above an adjustable Velcro fastener. 100% cotton. “BRY” handwritten on the tag.
