A pair of deep burgundy suede gladiator sandals made for Edmund Pudom in The Prodigal (MGM, 1955). The right sandal is inscribed "Ed Purdom." Purdom wears similar sandals in varying colors throughout the film. Costume design by Hershel McCoy. The consignor purchased the shoes at the 1970 M-G-M Auction After sale.
