The serial number remains 328393 but was created in a limited edition of 1,965 guitars. The guitar with a semi-hollow body bears two labels, the first a reproduction of what appeared in Lennon’s guitar and the second a label identifying the guitar as 1761/1965 of the limited edition. Sunburst finish with original mid-1960s Kalamazoo body created from alternating layers of maple and birch, rosewood fingerboard, 22 fret that joins the body at the 16th fret, with “Gibson Factory” electronics. After Lennon purchased his Casino in 1966, he began using it as his primary guitar on tour and in the studio. Accompanied by an Epiphone certificate of authenticity, a spec sheet, and a vintage style hardshell case with the shroud printed with an image of John Lennon’s self-portrait. 40 by 16 inches Categories: John Lennon
