An original program from the 1958 Indianapolis 500, signed on the cover by numerous drivers who competed in the race. The 42nd International 500-Mile Sweepstakes was held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday, May 30, 1958. The race is best known for a massive first-lap, 15-car pileup that resulted in the death of fan-favorite driver Pat O'Connor. Jimmy Bryan was the race winner, and the race featured a young rookie named A.J. Foyt in his debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The program is signed on the front cover by Bryan and Foyt as well as fellow drivers Johnny Boyd, Eddie Johnson, Bill Cheesbourg, Johnnie Parsons, Johnnie Tolan, Dempsey Wilson, Paul Russo, Shorty Templeman, Rodger Ward, Eddie Sachs, Chuck Weyant, Bob Veith, Ed Elisian, Paul Goldsmith, Len Sutton and Art Bisch. All signatures are in blue ink, with the exception of one; 21 signatures total.
