A group of 17 mixed media on board posters from London's Canteen Jazz Club advertising concerts and events from 1982-1983. Most have inscriptions. Performers include Mose Allison, Buddy Tate, Lee Konitz, Ahmad Jamal, Slim Gaillard, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Salena Jones, James Moody, Ernestine Anderson, Esther Phillips, and Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson. Two are housed in a frame. Accompanied by two boards with monthly event handbills from 1981-1983. The London club featured mostly American jazz performers. Joe Bryan, an entrepreneur and jazz fan, opened the club in 1979 and continued in the early 80s. The English publication Jazz Journal had offices in the upstairs of the club.
