A Wilson brand USFL football presented to Burt Reynolds after the inaugural game of the United States Football League. The game was contested between the Tampa Bay Bandits and the Boston Breakers on March 6, 1983. Reynolds was a minority owner of the Bandits, which took its team name from the title of Reynolds' film Smokey and the Bandit (Universal, 1977). The football features "Burt Reynolds" in red and white lettering painted over the Wilson logo, with the date of the game "March 6, 1983" painted below the USFL logo. Also painted on the football are the team names, team logos, and final score of the game.
