An oil on canvas painting of the 44-foot sloop Saga, titled Beating to Windward . Signed to the lower right by Sinatra. Titled, signed, and dated August 15, 1949, on verso. The Saga was owned by Sinatra's musical arranger, Axel Stordahl. The vessel reportedly made appearances in the background of more than one 1950s Sinatra television special, and Sinatra used to take excursions on the Saga with Stordahl. The sailboat was registered and docked at the Lido Village Yacht Club in Newport Beach, California. Framed, 26 3/8 by 24 3/8 inches Categories: Frank Sinatra
