A military envelope cap worn by Bette Davis as Katherine “Kit” Marlowe in the motion picture Old Acquaintance (Warner Bros. , 1943). The custom-made blue and grey envelope military cap has brocade trim. An internal Warner Bros. Pictures label is inscribed “Bette Davis, size 21 ½.” Davis wears this cap in the scene where she is addressing the nation over the radio regarding World War I. This dramatic film is about two old friends, Kit Marlowe and Millie Drake (played by Miriam Hopkins), who adopt contrasting lifestyles. Post-production alterations are present.
