A group of nine scripts from the 1940s from the career of Ad Schaumer, an assistant director active in Hollywood between 1928 and 1966. The scripts include The Young People (20th Century, 1940) marked "Final" and dated March 27, 1940; Brigham Young (20th Century, 1940) marked "2nd Revised Shooting Final" and dated April 13, 1940; Where Do We Go from Here ? (20th Century, 1945) marked "Final" and dated May 9, 1944; Nob Hill (20th Century, 1945) housed in a folder titled "Irish Eyes Are Smiling" and the script dated March 28, 1944; Carnival in Costa Rica (20th Century, 1947) marked "Final" and dated March 26, 1946; Mother Is a Freshman (20th Century, 1949) marked "Temporary" and dated June 28, 1948; two Slattery's Hurricane (20th Century, 1949) scripts, each marked "Revised Shooting Final" and dated December 15, 1948, and with handwritten notes in pencil throughout, and one additionally marked in pencil on the cover "In Complete [sic] 3/3/49"; and My Blue Heaven (20th Century, 1950) marked "Revised Final" and dated December 1, 1949. 11 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches PROVENANCE From the Estate of Ad Schaumer EST. $400-600 Categories:
