Paint and varnish on an Epiphone Casino hollow-body, laminated maple-top guitar with mahogany neck. What I am interested in as an artist is to influence public perception about mushrooms by painting modern interpretations of the fungi. I can my style abstract figurative expressionism with a modern twist. I love the storytelling aspect of European modern painters and their use of anthropomorphism to help tell a story. My goal is to continue to create compositions that are funny and hopeful. Although some paintings can be thoughtful, I am not looking to be pessimistic in my paintings. Like fungi, I believe that my style gives me limitless possibilities, and I believe that I have a voice in this body of work and I enjoy making my voice heard. Categories:
