Silver gelatin print of Marilyn Monroe by Milton H. Greene, 1956. “Black Sitting” A.P. signed by photographer in lower right hand corner. Milton H. Greene was born in Brooklyn, in 1922. While in high school he began his photographic career as an assistant to Louise Dahl-Wolfe. He was a highly regarded fashion photographer when he met Marilyn Monroe on a shoot for Look magazine in 1953. The “Black Sitting” took place in New York in 1956.
