Chas Addams copy of "Nightcrawlers," a piece of Ambassador New York stationery has been pasted into the front of the book with a hand drawn cartoon of Ann Miller and note that reads, “To Ann Miller With admiration Chas Addams. ” Addams created the Addams Family but was also a successful cartoonist for The New Yorker, Collier’s, and other magazines. Legends, some self-promoted, abound about the dark-humored Addams. He was described by some as a “ladykiller,” with a fondness for starlettes. Nightcrawlers was published in 1957.
