United States ten dollar bill from 1981, inscribed in black marker, “Have a Good Life! Stevie Ray Vaughan.” Vaughan grew up surrounded by music, given a guitar at age 7, his brother, Jimmie, taught him how to play. By age 13 he was playing in nightclubs. The Vaughan brothers left home to live in Austin where they caught the attention of Johnny Winter. The Vaughn brothers produced four albums that bridged the gap between blues and rock. In his short career Vaughan garnered four Grammy Awards (two posthumously) and multiple gold records as well as the respect of his fellow guitarists. 2 5/8 by 6 1/8 inches Categories:
