Figures depict a variety of French military positions. Each polychrome male figure stands on an oval or rectilinear base and in full costume. Four figures on oval bases are marked on base with crossed blue mark and numbered (654, 655, 656, and 657). Two figures stand on rectilinear bases have crossed blue mark over French text--these figures appear to be portraits of individuals and not types as they are given specific dates on the back of their bases (1775-1852 and 1753-1800). Approximate height of figures 9".
