A collection of 83 individual pieces of correspondence between author Ray Bradbury and biographer Gene Beley. The conversation began in 1968 and continued through 2004. Fifty of the notes and letters from Bradbury, some typed, some handwritten, are signed “Ray,” with some having Bradbury’s full signature and date. The conversation ranges from business to family, personal triumphs and setbacks on both sides. In many instances, the correspondence comes with the original transmittal envelopes, many handwritten by Bradbury, and has been composed on stationery ranging from personal to studio production letterhead from the 1969 film The Illustrated Man .
