Mixed media on a SG standard Gibson Electric Guitar. Mahogany neck and body, rosewood fingerboard, humbucking neck and bridge pick ups. 39 by 13 inches Rebecca Hendrickson, a native of Austin Texas, was introduced to Carnaval Brasilerio at 14 and has made it a significant part of her life. Music being at the essence of both Austin and Carnaval, Rebecca felt it was important to preserve the integrity and playability of the guitar while transforming the instrument into a work of art. She enlisted the help of a few musicians and her good friend Zac Roberts, a custom car builder, to determine the best way to approach this and create the instrument’s final appearance. Lastly, the instrument is signed using Rebecca’s Carnaval alias “Candi Valentine”. Categories:
