The original Indian Motorcycle Company, America's first motorcycle manufacturer, rode forever into history in 1953, but the legend surrounding the company and its signature v-twin Chief has flourished through the decades. For 2009, the new Indian Motorcycle Company virtually reinvents the wheel with the summer 2008 launch of an all-new, classically styled, technology-advanced Chief. Handcrafted in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, the 2009 Chief features a 105 cubic-inch v-twin Powerplus motor with a closed-loop fuel-injection system, six-speed transmission, belt-drive, dual-rotor floating disc brakes and ergonomically designed hand-tooled leather saddle. The state-of-the-art running gear is elegantly wrapped in classic Indian livery including the marque's trademark fully valanced fenders. High bidder will receive a low-VIN number, initial production run 2009 Chief in the color and configuration of his or her choice. Categories:
