1970-71 Team Signed Kentucky Colonels ABA Basketball, 11 signatures including coach Frank Ramsey (only season), rookie Dan Issel (who went on to a Hall of Fame career also starring with Denver in the NBA; Louis Dampier who later joined the Spurs. The Colonels fielded a team during the entire nine seasons of the ABA, winning the highest percentage of any franchise. Dan Issel, drafted out of Kentucky, made an immediate impact in the 1970-71 season, leading the team in scoring with a 29.9 average. Categories: Bob Hope
