Acrylics on fiberglass. 10 by 3 1/2 feet The Brothers Ferraro are visual artists based in East Austin, Texas and are the co-founders of the GAT5 artist collective. Charles Ferraro attended The University of Texas where he studied studio art with a split focus of painting and sculpture. He has exhibited his work regionally, nationally and internationally and was voted Best Painter/Sculptor in The Austin Chronicle’s Best of Austin '06 poll. In addition he has directed several films and has been featured in the SXSW Film Festival. James Ferraro, illustrator, sculptor and antagonist, is currently studying art at Texas State University. The Brothers revere witty street art, are impatient waiting for artists to finally unite, are into siege engines, enjoy steak and eggs after moderately successful art shows, benefit from rooting through junk/scrap yards, appreciate recycled furniture, are in constant pursuit of the perfect found object, and are amused by the tackiness of the early nineties as a result from the grossness of the eighties. The Brothers Ferraro are the Ferraro Brothers. Photo of Clifford Antone courtesy of Todd Wolfson Sponsored by: Perficient Categories:
