A black felt fedora hat with black grosgrain ribbon trim worn by Judy Garland in the famous "Get Happy" performance from the motion picture Summer Stock (MGM, 1950). Garland plays Jane Falbury opposite Gene Kelly in this successful comeback film. The hat is marked inside "Madcaps." This lot comes with a black and white photograph of Garland performing the famous scene. According to Butterfields, Garland kept this hat from the film for the rest of her life.
