A cranberry, panne velvet gown with tapered train, and open seam up to the left thigh. The dress is accented with gold and citrine beaded detailing at tip of train and across halter strap. Midler wore this dress as she attended the 19th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 19, 1977 where she presented album of the year to Stevie Wonder who appeared on the program via satellite. The comedic “thirty foot train” she made her grand entrance wearing is no longer attached to the dress. Categories: Bette Midler
