A set of six hand-drawn 24" by 36" drafting sheets that contain the original designs for George Lucas' revolutionary, one-of-a-kind, custom-built ILM (for Industrial Light & Magic) "Vista Cruiser" crane and camera system.. The lot contains plans for the crane, motion tracking camera mover, camera assembly, and gear case. Each drawing is initialed "EJT" for Lucas draftsman Ed Tennler. This ILM (Industrial Light & Magic)-Kerner Optical special effects camera system was used for motion control shots in countless films, beginning with Return of The Jedi ( Lucasfilm , 1983 ). It was also used to shoot the famous flying bike scenes in E . T . The Extra - Terrestrial ( Universal , 1982 ) and for countless scenes in other films. Categories:
