A first-edition copy of Kenpo Karate inscribed by the author and one of Presley's karate instructors, Ed Parker. The inscription reads, "Elvis, To my cherished and trusted friend. I hope you enjoy this!! Your Friend, Ed Parker." Presley has written his own note within the book under the Kenpo Karate Creed: "Lightening fast/ with ones [sic]/ fist in the Kenpo/ Karate technique/ this is good/ E.P." with a hand drawn image of a lightning bolt.
