A textured clear glass dessert plate featuring a lavender and pink iris design. This was among the personal effects of Lucille Ball originally donated to the Arts Council for Chautauqua County, in Lucille Ball’s hometown, by Lucille Ball’s daughter, Lucie Arnaz. The Arts Council for Chautauqua County opened the Lucy-Desi Museum in Jamestown, New York, in May, 1996. Two months later, the Arts Council held an auction of some of Lucille Ball’s personal effects in Burbank, California, in conjunction with the Loving Lucy fan convention. The auction was held to raise funds to support the continued growth of the museum. A catalog from the 1996 auction accompanies this lot.
