A group of four letters and telegrams relating to Marion Davies and Joseph and Pat Kennedy. The first is a handwritten signed letter from Pat Kennedy to Marion Davies dated May 9, 1950, asking to come and visit San Simeon. A telegram dated May 10, 1950, is Davies’ response inviting the Kennedys to visit Hearst Castle. The second telegram, dated December 13, 1950, reads in full, “Dearest Joe: Received your document and read it to W.R. He and I both send congratulations. It is wonderful. Lots of Love, Marion.” The last letter, written on White House stationery, is addressed to Capt. and Mrs. Horace Brown from Letitia Baldrige, social secretary to Jacqueline Kennedy.
