A straw boater hat worn by Maurice Chevalier for an unknown production. The hat has a black grosgrain ribbon around the crown. The underside of the crown bears the maker’s label “Facile Princeps,” a Western Costume Company stamp, and a typed Paramount Studios wardrobe tag that reads “Maurice Chevalier.” Between 1929 and 1933 Chevalier made over 10 films with Paramount Pictures, mainly co-starring Jeanette MacDonald.
