A Herff Jones gold ring commemorating Jose Canseco's winning of the 1986 American League Rookie of the Year Award. The ring, originally commissioned by Canseco, is mounted in 14K gold and centering a full-cut round diamond gauged at approximately 0.40 ct. and graded I-J color and SI clarity, set within a green glass plaque. One side of the ring shank is inscribed “Jose Canseco, Oakland Athletics” (with A’s logo) and “33.” The other side of the ring is inscribed “1986/ 117 RBI/ 33 HR/ ALL STAR.” The ring shows extended wear (by Canseco), with slight abrasions to the glass, and slightly illegible inscriptions due to wear.
