A group of four black and white negatives and five color transparencies of Jimi Hendrix taken by photographer Paul Fender in February 1967. The photographs were taken at 34 Montague Square. Hendrix rented the apartment from Ringo Starr. Many of Starr’s band mates and celebrity friends stayed in the flat in the 1960s. Hendrix, who wrote “The Wind Cries Mary” while living there, was evicted after an incident involving painting the walls. 2 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches PROVENANCE Previously sold at a 1982 Sotheby’s auction Categories:
