Acrylic on Fiberglass. Elizabeth Merritt Kong is a young, emerging artist residing in Riverside County, California. She was brought into this world by a Chinese mother and an American father. Kong, who is currently attending the local community college as an art major, has taken part in the Riverside Arts Walk numerous times as well as showcased work at Riverside Art Museum, Riverside City College and multiple RCC student honors shows. Besides painting, she likes to draw, partake in printmaking, bike, climb things, and eat sushi. "The Conscious Mind" uses surreal imagery to reflect on the visual landscape inspired by music.
