Together with a handwritten note reading in full, "I was in Brazil some time in the late / 50's - and the #[1] Guitarist I was told / wanted me to have his guitar. / I refused & he was very hurt- / I agreed to take his guitar & swap my guitar / & amp for his guitar - / This guitar has a very fine sound. / He said it was made with gold frets. / All I know is the little fellow / sure played very well and I was honored / to swap guitars. / Les."
