Acrylic Paint, Rhinestones, Glitter and Paper on Epiphone Les Paul guitar. Sylvia graduated from Kent State University in 1996 with a BFA in Visual Communication Design, concentrating in Illustration. After spending a few years in advertising and other parts of the design business, she found herself yearning to do more illustrating. In 2002, her studio, the power of whodo, was born. From that moment, she was rejuvenated, striving to create art that evokes a sense of childhood wonder and innocence. As a published children's book illustrator and public installation artist, Sylvia enjoys making kids smile and trying to work a little of that unbridled joy into every piece of art that she creates. Sylvia currently shows her work in a few galleries around town and has done public art installations such as GuitarMania and the Ingeunityfest and most recently, the Year of the Ox public installation this summer. Categories: Les Paul
