A two-piece brown plaid suit worn by Jamie Foxx in his Academy Award-winning performance as Ray Charles in Ray (Universal, 2004). The suit has a 3-button closure, two flap pockets, and a breast pocket. An “Austin Burke” label is sewn into the interior breast pocket. Foxx wears this suit in the scene where he and his new manager “Joe,” played by Harry Lennix, are walking around Charles’ new office. Ray received multiple wins and nominations at the 2005 Academy Awards. Among these, Foxx received an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, and Sharen Davis received an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Costume Design.
