Mahogany wood Empire style bibliotheque with four shelves flanked by two decorative columns with gilt accented banding and acanthus leaf decoration above two swing front doors (also flanked by two decorative columns with gilt accented banding and acanthus leaf decoration) that open to reveal two shelves within. Each side of bibliotheque with hinged doors that open to reveal three more shelves inside. Shelving unit raised on two rounded feet at front and two block form feet at back. According to the consignor, bibliotheque was purchased from Dottie Travis Antiques in Atlanta, Georgia. Approximate height 94 inches, width 59 inches, depth 19 inches.
