A Jackson, Randy Rhoads model "shark fin" guitar with hot pink sparkle finish from the personal collection of Vinnie Vincent, former lead guitarist of the rock group KISS. This model displays no serial number, likely making it an early pre-production model. Vincent explains, “This guitar was one of the earliest known models produced for me by the Jackson Guitar Company in 1981/82. It was originally painted white when it was used in the photoshoots corresponding to the Creatures of the Night - Kiss 10th Anniversary Tour, including images seen in the now rare 10th Anniversary tourbook and in numerous other worldwide publications among them being the violin bow press photos. It was later sent back to the Jackson factory, in the mid 1980's where it underwent modifications and was repainted with a hot pink sparkle finish in addition to the updated headstock logo. The guitar was subsequently used on both of my VINNIE VINCENT INVASION albums, particularly on the tracks No Substitute , Ecstasy , Love Kills , and That Time of Year ." The guitar has been refitted with the original parts and is accompanied by the original hard case used while touring in KISS.
