A “first state” Beatles "butcher album" cover for The Beatles' 1966 Capitol Records release of Yesterday and Today . This sleeve, marked for a stereo recording, is labeled “ST-2553” with a number “2” printed in the lower right corner on the back of the album sleeve. The album sleeve was given to an employee in the Capitol Records mail room when the driver brought them from the Burbank, California, pressing plant.
