A pink waitress dress with polka dot trim purportedly worn by Diane Ladd as Belle Dupree in the hit television series Alice (Warner Bros. Television, 1976-1985. Ladd played Belle in 25 episodes of the series between 1980 and 1981. Ladd wore the same or similar garment while on the series, which was loosely based on the motion picture Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Warner Bros., 1974). The sitcom followed the hilarious misadventures of a recently widowed mother from New Jersey who winds up working in a greasy spoon café somewhere in the middle of Phoenix. This Mel’s Diner uniform was the same type of garment worn by Mel’s other waitresses, including Vera (played by Beth Howland) and a wisecracking Flo (played by Polly Holliday), who was later replaced by Ladd on the series. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Categories:
