A two-piece steel blue wool day suit worn by Sylvia Sidney in The Searching Wind (Paramount, 1946). The outfit consists of a long-sleeve jacket with grey curly lamb wool cuffs, rounded neckline with no collar, six square self-button front closure, and wide panel at waist and a matching straight three-quarter-length skirt. Internal Paramount labels in both garments are inscribed "Sylvia Sidney." Sidney wears the suit when she is writing stories for the newspaper. Costume design by Michael Woulfe.
