An amber floral damask two-piece period costume worn by Ruth Roman as Ronda Castle in The Far Country (Universal, 1955). The gown has a fitted bodice with scoop neckline trimmed in scalloped accordion pleats, green netted cap sleeves, hook and eye back closure, and satin sash and bow with velvet stripes and a matching long full skirt with train and snap back closure. An internal Universal International label inscribed “Ruth Roman.” Roman wore the costume at James Stewart’s trial. Costume design by Jay A. Morley Jr. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a copy of the film. Categories:
