Late 19th/Early 20th century. Heavy cast iron fire screen with relief sculptural depiction of a woman standing at full length wearing a classically draped gown and leaning against a large anchor. Young female with arm raised and hand pointing in the distance. Woman is likely an allegorical figure for Hope according to similar portrayal such as at the seen in The Custom House in Dublin, Ireland. Apparently unsigned. Verso with numbers at top back. Item measures 25.5" x 20.25".
