This early four-engine cargo jet aircraft model comes from the collection of a former employee of General Aircraft. Likely produced in-house for Koppen-Bollinger Aircraft Co., this exquisitely crafted scale-model features machined parts and moveable ailerons. Koppen-Bollinger Aircraft Co. competed in the pre-jet era with Lockheed, Boeing and McDonnell Douglass propeller passenger and cargo planes until the Boeing 707 changed the landscape of the industry in the mid-1950s. Shortly thereafter the company changed its name to Helio and developed two very successful short takeoff and landing aircraft, the Courier and the Stallion. In 1969 General Aircraft purchased Helio
