Roman Bronze Works, Corona, New York USA, 1944/1966 bronze with black patina 32 w x 20 d x 40 h in (81 x 51 x 102 cm)
In October 1966, Calder authorized an edition in bronze of a group of sculptures he had originally made in 1944 and stored in the basement of his Roxbury Connecticut house.
Calder commented on the works, "the previous spring (1944), Wally Harrison had suggested I make some large outdoor objects which could be done in cement. He apparently forgot about his suggestion immediately, but I did not and I started to work in plaster. . ." (Autobiography with Pictures, pg. 195). The bronze cast was created from the existing plaster model and created in a strictly limited edition of six.

Signed: [A. Calder] and numbered 1/6.

This work is registered in the archives of the Calder Foundation under application number A02645.1.
