Late 19th/Early 20th century. Two matching large hand painted wooden and gesso figural pedestals in the form of male blackamoors holding leaf decorated presentation display torchieres in hand with other hand resting gracefully on hip. Each male figure with short hair and reddened lips. Figures wearing blue tunics with gilt accents and stylish draping over burgundy red paints with similar gilt accent patterning. Full length figures portrayed in the round and standing on circular textured bases above ornate socle base with medallion and beaded motif. Apparently unsigned. Height 69".
