Nelson's Home Office desk encapsulates the forward thinking aesthetics of the post-war period. A retractable basket holds hanging files and a hinged cabinet opens to reveal shelves and a drawer. The compartment was designed to hold a typewriter that was to be attached to the hinged door and stored away when not in use. An elevated cabinet with sliding doors conceal shelves and a miniature drawer. This striking example is a custom order model in primavera wood, punctuated with an original red leather writing surface and door fronts.
