English, late 19th century. Large brass metal butcher's scale with horned bull with belted neck strap at top. Bull with scale top clamped in mouth. Butcher's scale with four circular brass weigh platforms (two larger at front, two smaller behind) hanging from chain linked strands. Base with twelve cylindrical weighs with fitted basins. Unmarked. Approximate height 48 inches, width 25 inches, depth 14 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
