20th century. Two companion (male and female) cast concrete garden figural sculptures of peasant farmworkers. Heavily patinated figures depicted at full length and in the round on domed rock form bases. Male figure standing with one bare foot ahead of the other as if in the midst of walking. Figure with large handled and footed woven basket on his left side by his feet. Male farmhand figure wearing a hat and jacket as he carries an additional parcel over his shoulder. Female figure in a similar walking stance and also with items resting on her shoulder and a large basket at her feet. Both sculptures unsigned. Height approximately 19.5 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
