Harry Bertoia was so fond of this early sculpture that it remained in his personal collection until his death.
The influence of Paul Klee is evident in this experimental work, and Bertoia’s exploration of form and line is a nod to Surrealist sensibilities.
Sold with a title of authentication from Bertoia Studio and a photocopy of the original invoice from Staempfli Gallery.
