David Backhouse (British, b. 1941- ). Patinated bronze sculpture depicting a standing figure at full length with arms raised and crossed in front of body pulling on fabric on angled and stylized top portraying a woman undressing. Figure raised on integral rectangular base. Signed "Backhouse" on base. Height 24.5". David Backhouse studied at the Royal West of England College of Art. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, a Royal West of England Academician, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Founder Member of the Fountain Society and a Member of The Society of Equestrian Artists.
