Each measures approximately 19-1/2" tall, 7-1/2" wide, and 10" deep; cream colored stone material (sandstone?); minor chips. Guardian Lions feature in Asian culture second only to dragons. They are set in pairs at the entrance to a building to guard it. One is female, she guards the inside, the male guards the building from outside. The male has the "flower of life" under his paw, representing the world, the female has a playful lion cub representing the cycle of life.
