"Baluchi" also known as "Baluch", "Baloochi, or "Balochi". Lovely mat woven by the Baloch people living in Afghanistan and Eastern Iran. The patterns in Baluchi rugs are highly varied, many consisting of repeated motifs, diagonally arranged across the field. Some present a maze of intricate latch-hooked forms, and the knotting is customarily asymmetrical. Measures approximately 1'10" x 2'2" & signed "H.W.".
