Burgundy field with cream-colored border. Measures approximately 14-3" x 9'5". Tabriz rugs originate from the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran. Tabriz rugs are hand knotted with double wefts made of any combination of cotton, wool, or silk. Tabriz is the oldest rug weaving center and makes a huge diversity of rugs and designs. Designs include medallion, Herati/Mahi, figural, and pictorial.
